Initially stitched the image into plain canvas,

then used Photoshop layering for a collage effect

As an extension to my Idioms project, I experimented with photography

Using an overhead projector and acetate layering I projected the image of a clock face onto an eye

This brief was to illustrate traditional English idioms

I chose 'train of thought' and 'in the blink of an eye'

Big Issue

After specialising in the Graphics area, my first brief was to create a series of campaign posters concerning a big issue

I looked at eating disorders,

and used a combination of photography and Photoshop

Site & Scale

To extend my Alternative Image Making project I explored the possibility of translating my work onto a larger scale, using a different medium more suited to my chosen environment

I decided to use icing.

Alternative Image Making

My self-directed study assignment was to create at least 2 'alternative images' of household objects, without using conventional drawing materials.

I chose to do a cake stand and teacups, partly because they are widely recognised shapes but also because these are the type of objects I am mostly interested in - beautiful, aesthetic and decorative.

I used collage and embroidery to illustrate my design, using layers of wallpaper, brown paper and paper doilies.
